RCENO Annual Meeting

The well attended RCENO General meeting was held at the home of Jeff Behrens, RCENO’s Treasurer. We had two special guests, Flinn Fagg, assistant City Manager and Chuck Nourrcier who is coordinating the undergrounding efforts in Old Las Palmas.

Flinn Fagg discussed the improvement projects for Fire Stations #1 and #3, the Convention Center Expansion, Palm Springs Library Renovation & Expansion, the Racquet Club Road Diet project, future plans for Victoria Park and an update on the Historic Racquet Club property.

Chuck Nourrcier discussed the efforts of Old Las Palmas (OLP) in their power line undergrounding project. Chuck stated OLP is in the engineering phase and that PS City Municipal recently changed. The next phase should predict the cost to homeowners which would be paid through property taxes. SCE is subsidizing a small portion and if all is approved will remove the power poles & lines above ground for free, at no additional cost to homeowners.

RCENO now has two additional board members who joined at this meeting, Caroline Jacobson & Yehuda Gidron. We are delighted to have two delightful neighbors join the board.

Raffle prizes were presented to the winners who were delighted with their gifts from World Market, Williams Sonoma and several restaurant gift cards.
